The Cat App: Fleet management mobile application can be used to log in to a machine. To enable the application to be detected by the system, the Mobile Device ID (MDID) of the mobile application must be assigned to the machine in the Operator Management System (OMS). The mobile device must be within the cab and the "Operator Management Bluetooth Device Enabled Status" must be enabled (Cat ET Configuration). [1]
To log in using the Cat App: Fleet management mobile application:
- Turn the engine start switch to the ON position.
- Ensure that Bluetooth detection is enabled on the in-cab display.
- Open the Cat App: Fleet management mobile application on the mobile device.
- Click "I Agree" to agree with the End-User License Agreement and sign in with Cat eCustomer account credentials. If you do not have an account, click "Get Started" to create one.
- Select "Login".
- After logging in successfully, an "Engine Start Allowed" message will appear across the top of the monitor.
[2] The Cat Machine Security System (MSS) discourages unwanted machine operation, and when armed, it requires operator login to start the engine. Login methods to disarm the security system include the Cat Bluetooth key fob, the Cat App: Fleet Management, and a passcode. [3]
