1. Pre-Inspection Preparation

• Review the establishment's inspection history and relevant industry information .
• Ensure all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) is available and used .
• Gather all required forms and materials for documentation .

2. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Ensure all employees are wearing appropriate PPE, including hard hats, safety goggles, gloves, and safety shoes .
• Check that PPE is in good condition and fits properly .

3. Equipment and Machinery

• Verify that all equipment is clean and free from debris to prevent contamination and facilitate maintenance .
• Ensure all covers, guards, and safety devices are securely attached and in good condition .
• Conduct functional testing to ensure equipment is operating correctly .
• Tag out any equipment that is not safe to operate .

4. Environmental Conditions

• Check for adequate lighting and ventilation in all work areas.
• Ensure walkways and exits are clear of obstructions and hazards .
• Inspect for any signs of leaks or spills and address them immediately .

5. Procedures and Documentation

• Confirm that all safety procedures are up-to-date and accessible to employees .
• Ensure that all inspections and maintenance are documented, including any deficiencies and corrective actions taken .

6. Follow-Up Actions

• Document any deficiencies found during the inspection.
• Assign corrective actions and deadlines for completion.
• Schedule a follow-up inspection to verify that corrective actions have been implemented.
