Pre-Operation Inspection

• Read Operation/Maintenance Procedures: Ensure all personnel understand the maintenance procedures and safety precautions .
• Attach "Do Not Operate" Tag: Use a tag to indicate the machine is out of service during inspection .
• Check for Flammable Materials: Remove leaves, wooden debris, and other flammables from exhaust manifold, muffler, battery, and undercover areas .
• Inspect Electrical System: Ensure all wiring harness connections are clean and secure. Repair any damage or loose connections .
• Check for Leaks: Inspect hoses and tubes for damage or leaks. Tighten, repair, or replace as necessary .
• Use Anti-Explosion Work Lights: Ensure work lights meet anti-explosion specifications .

During Inspection

• Stop Engine: Always stop the engine and allow it to cool before inspection .
• Release Pressure: Release pressure from hydraulic lines and fuel systems before inspection .
• Wear Protective Equipment: Use face shields, protective glasses, and gloves when inspecting for leaks .
• Inspect for Hot Fluids: Wait for engine components to cool before removing radiator or oil caps .

Post-Inspection

• Document Findings: Record any deficiencies and corrective actions taken .
• Reinstall Guards: Ensure all guards and safety devices are reinstalled after maintenance .
• Communicate with Team: Confirm all team members are aware of the inspection results and any ongoing issues .

Corrective Actions

• Immediate Repairs: Address any safety hazards immediately before resuming operation .
• Monitor Non-Hazardous Deficiencies: Keep track of issues that do not pose immediate hazards but require monitoring .
