I am unable to find information regarding specific personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements for safe handling and testing of post-tensioning cables, including specific requirements for tensioning, stressing, and inspection. Employers must provide and ensure the use of personal protective equipment, protective devices, and special tools needed for employees' work. Before each day's use, a competent person must carefully inspect these items to ensure they are in good condition. Training should also be provided to employees regarding the precautions and safe practices described to ensure employees do not engage in activities until they have received proper training. The employer shall certify that employees have been trained by preparing a certification record which includes the identity of the person trained, the signature of the employer or the person who conducted the training, and the date the training was completed. The certification record shall be prepared at the completion of training and shall be maintained on file for the duration of the employee's employment. [1] [1]
